These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (www.retail-checker.com), and all related services (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Site or Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, each of which is expressly incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use our Site or Services. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  1. Services
  • Our Services are provided as set out on our website, and unless agreed otherwise, are offered for a fee and on an “as-is” basis.
  • We cannot guarantee that our Services will always be error-free or uninterrupted, or that they will be free from viruses or other harmful components. Service features may change from time to time without prior notice.
  • While we seek to provide continuous availability, we do not warrant uninterrupted operation and may terminate or suspend the Services at any time without notice.
  • The Services do not constitute an opinion on the quality, merchantability, or suitability of any third-party products, sites, or services.
  1. Fees and Payment
  • Fees for Services are listed on our website and must be paid in advance.
  • We may change our fees from time to time.
  • We use Stripe for payment processing and do not retain any payment card details.
  • By completing a purchase, you request immediate access to the Services (including the ‘Confidence Score’) and acknowledge losing the right to cancel once you access the information.
  • Refunds will be issued only if the Service fails to function as paid for; in such cases, you must notify us using the Contact Us form and provide the date and time of the issue.
  1. Liability
  • Retail Checker provides Services intended to inform your decisions on e-commerce legitimacy. We are not liable for purchase decisions you make after receiving our ‘Confidence Score’, regardless of the rating.
  • We do not guarantee the quality or suitability of data provided. You remain responsible for determining its fitness and lawfulness for your intended use.
  • Our liability for any loss or damages under these Terms is limited to the fees paid for the most recent relevant transaction (excluding VAT).
  • You must notify us in writing of any loss or damage within six months of discovery. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for wilful misconduct, recklessness, death, personal injury, or any liability where such limitation would be unlawful.
  1. Registration
  • Full use of Services requires registration and creation of an account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to register. Accounts are personal and must not be shared or transferred.
  • Usernames may be displayed publicly if you post reviews, comments, or other content. You are responsible for choosing a secure password and for keeping your credentials confidential.

  • We put in place reasonable security measures against unauthorised access, misuse, or loss of personal data.
  • We do not sell personal data and only share it with trusted suppliers where required for service delivery and under strict confidentiality terms.
  • Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary for its intended purpose as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
  • At any time, you may exercise your rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, request copies of your data, or withdraw consent, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
