Is Retail Checker safe and secure?
Yes. Any payments are processed by Stripe and Link, and we never see or store your full card details; Stripe may ask for your postcode to verify the card, but that data does not come to us.
Do you keep my payment or personal details?
No. Payment details are handled by Stripe via a secure payment gateway, and we do not store your full card information or use it for anything else.
Why do you need my postcode for payments?
Stripe, our payment provider, sometimes requests your postcode to verify your card details match their records; Retail Checker does not store or use your postcode separately.
Do retailers pay to get a good score on Retail Checker?
Absolutely not. Retailers cannot pay us to influence or change their confidence score, because your trust in our checks matters more than anything.
Can Retail Checker guarantee I won’t be scammed?
No tool can give a 100% guarantee. Retail Checker gives you a fair appraisal of the website based on available data, but the final decision to buy and any risk you take remains with you.
