REPORT A SCAM

If you’ve experienced retail fraud, we want to acknowledge how distressing that can be. Sadly, retail fraud now accounts for 54% of all fraud in the UK, you are not alone.

We can help you navigate what to do now:

1. Report the incident to your bank who may be able to recover your money.  You will need to provide the name of the company you purchased from, the exact date of the purchase, the amount of money lost and details of any communications that you may have had with the online retailer.  The bank will want to know if you tried to recover your losses and what response you have had (if any).

2. Report the incident to the Police (we have provided direct links below depending upon where you live).

Provide the same information that you provided to the bank.

We know it can feel embarrassing to admit that you have been scammed. The banks and police see cases like this every day. By acting together, we can protect others and help the authorities learn from shared experiences. Reporting the incident is a positive step, so feel empowered and hopefully you will be able to recover your money.
